The suspects   Two of the suspects are Mrs. Townsend and Mr. Reynolds. She has an affair with him. Inspector Chapman thinks they killed the poor old Colonel together because Mrs. Townsend want to marry Mr. Reynolds and to live with him. Inspector Chapman also thinks the two are so greedy of money that they want to have more and more. These are possible motives for such a crime but at the same time it seems to be so unbelievable to be the murderer of your own husband.
