Of course emigrated some Chinese people after the war back to China. Even some  had to go back, because too many Chinese were in the district of some big cities. The groundprices and there was a rent increase, so poor people couldn´t pay for the apartments. But those one who emmigrated were nearly exclusive Chinese of the second generation, so the Emmigration was selective and in a certain degree there was a negative selection of those who stayed. In America stayed those who don´t have money. But they must live and so a lot became criminals. But the most believed in the American Dream and were hopeful to achieve their object. And if you look today to America you´ll see that the most managed it.
